A Guide Through The Game

Doors 1-50

When you spawn in, you will be in an elevator, this is the first part of the game.
Inside of the elevator is the Pre-run shop. I recommend the lockpicks and flashlight, however, if you do not have enough knobs, then don't buy anything.
When you step out of the elevator, you will be in Room 1.
Grab the key, and open the first door to start your run!

The Reception

Gold Coins

Gold Coins are very important for halfway into the game when you get to Jeff's shop, so make sure to collect them.
Gold Coins can be found in drawers, chests, or just laying around.

Dark Rooms

During your journey through the hotel, you will find dark rooms.
Any room has the possibility of being a dark room, except for Doors 1 and 50, and Seek 1 and 2.
If you bought a flashlight or lighter at the beginning of your run, then you should use it, but if you didn't, then look around in drawers and chests, because there could be one in those.


Seek Chase Tips

During the Seek chase, if you don't mess up, seek will be far behind you, use that extra time to loot drawers, and if you take too long, just use some vitamins to get away!
On some devices, the Seek chase is too much to handle, causing the player to lag and not have control over their character.
If you think that your device can't handle the Seek chase, then turn down your graphics before you start the Seek chase.

The Library

If you've made it to Door 50, congrats! I will now show you how to do Door 50, The Library.

As soon as you enter the Library, crouch so The Figure doesn't hear you.
First, go to the right side of the library. Inspect every bookshelf, and when you find a book you can interact with, pick it up. You have just picked up your first book!
On the right side, there is one closet, if you hear the figure close to you, stay near the closet, if you see he is coming for you, then hide, and do the heartbeat minigame as instructed in the game.
When there are no more books on the right side, carefully go to the left side without the figure spotting you, and collect all of the books on the left bookshelves.
On the big table, there is a paper, take it as you will need it for later.
When there are no more books on the left side, carefully go up the stairs and collect all of the books on the upstairs bookshelves.
Next to the exit door, there is a potted plant, if you stay close to the potted plant, the Figure cannot get you.
Once you have collected all of the books (you should have eight numbers with shapes at the left side of your screen), go over to the lock on the exit door upstairs, and do what the paper tells you to do.
If you put the right numbers into the lock, the door should open, which means that you escaped The Library!

Doors 51-100

Jeff's Shop

Jeff's shop is found in the room after Door 50, and contains many useful items.
2 items that you may find useful during your run, are the Crucifix and the Skeleton Key.

Second Seek chase

The second Seek chase is much like the first one, except for 1 thing.
There are more rooms that you have to go through in the second Seek chase, so be ready for that!


The Infirmary

Somewhere close to Door 75, you will get to The Infirmary.
The Infirmary is like any other room, with closets and drawers.
The thing that makes it special is the skeleton room at the end of the room.
It is unlocked with a Skeleton key, which is found anywhere in the game, including Jeff's Shop.
Inside of the skeleton room, is the Plant of Viridis, which lets you regenerate your health, and alot of gold in the drawers.

The Greenhouse

The Greenhouse goes from Doors 90 to 100, and is one of the hardest parts of DOORS.
First, The Greenhouse has no light, meaning you cannot see if the lights are flickering to signal that Rush is coming.
Second, The Greenhouse contains an entity named Snare, which when stepped on, stuns the player, and takes away 10 HP.
The candle is a useful item when traversing The Greenhouse, as it goes out in the presence of an entity, letting you know if Rush is coming.

Door 100

If you've made it to Door 100, then congratulations! There is only one more boss you need to get through.
As soon as you pull the lever that opens the door, quickly run back to a closet so The Figure doesn't catch you.
Once you have finished the heartbeat minigame, begin looking through the facility for elevator switches, you need 10 in total.
Listen out for The Figure, if you hear his footsteps coming closer, hide in a closet and do the heartbeat minigame if necessary.
When you can't find any more switches, go back to the lever door and up the stairs, because there could be more switches in there.
There will also be a key there, it is used to open the elevator maintenence room.
Once you have collected all of the switches, go to the elevator maintenence room and open the door with the key.
Insert the switches into the panel, and begin the elevator puzzle.
A bunch of numbers with squares beside them will flash on the screen, to do the elevator puzzle, you have to flip the switches of the numbers with a filled in square beside them.
There are 3 rounds, each getting faster and harder.
Once you reach the end, you will get some question marks beside a square instead of a number, you will need to guess on that.
After finishing the elevator puzzle, run back up the stairs and into the elevator without The Figure catching you, once you've made it, the ending cutscene will play, and the game will end.

You have finished the game. Congratulations!
