Doors contains a lot of items that help you traverse throughout the hotel. Some are extras that are convenient to have, and others are must haves for beating the game. In this section, I will explain all of the items in doors, their uses, and how important they are.
The key is probably the first item you will ever pick up. Its use is to unlock locked doors if you don't have lockpicks. If you have trouble looking for it, just listen for the little shimmer that it gives off when you are close. Guiding light can also make a key glow even if it's inside of a closet in dark rooms.
Lockpicks can be used on any locked door or secret case except for the library door at door 50. They are especially useful for dark locked rooms where you can't see where the key is. Costs: 50 coins or knobs in Pre-run shop and Jeff's shop.
The flashlight is a light item which lets you see in dark rooms. Light is especially important in big locked rooms which need a key or a lever to find. It can be recharged using batteries found in drawers allthrought the hotel. Costs: 100 coins or knobs in Pre-run shop and Jeff's shop.
The lighter is another light item that can let you see in dark rooms. The only difference is that the lighter takes less time to run out, and can't be recharged. However, it has a higher chance to spawn in drawers and only costs 50 coins or knobs in the Pre-run shop and Jeff's shop.
The candle is yet another light item which lets you see in dark rooms. The only difference with this item is that it goes out in the pressence of an entity. This is very helpful during rooms 90-99, because there is no light in these rooms, and rush can still spawn. It lasts a little longer than the lighter and can only be found on top of desks and drawers.
Vitamins can be used to give you an immense speed boost to escape certain entities or troll your friends Costs: 100 knobs in Pre-Run shop, and 50 coins in Jeff's shop.
The crucifix can be used to stun or banish entities in doors. This is especially useful during doors 90-99, if you can't make it to a closet in time, just use the crucifix to banish the entities. It can be found in between two beds, behind any door, and in any briefcase. Costs: 250 coins in Jeff's shop.
The Skeleton key allows you to go into a secret room in The Infermery, which contains the Plant of Viridis which allows you to regenerate your health. It also allows you to unlock door A-000, which is the entrance to The Rooms. Costs: 250 coins in Jeff's shop, and has a chance to be found in any drawer or chest.
